Data Management Division

1 Brief introduction and development goal

Data management division is a section of CERN/CNERN synthesis center which is a sub-section of CAS Key Lab of Ecosystem Network Observation and Modeling, also it is data exchange center of ChinaFLUX field stations.

Responsibilities:

● To integrate, process, archive, manage and share all CERN/CNERN field stations’ long-term ecosystem observational data and research data

● To build long-term ecosystem observational database and ecological disciplinary database

● To formulate standards and protocols related to long-term ecosystem observational data management

● To manage and run the advanced computational systems

● To organize and implement the construction of all field stations’ information system

Development Goals:

To develop eco-informatics science and technology so as to serve CERN to use advanced information technologies for the data management, To push forward the sharing of various eco-information and computational resources, so as to construct an information platform for CERN and all society.
