The Sub-Center for Water is the Sub-Center for Water of CERN. Its research focuses on techniques and approaches for ecosystem network observation and experimentation, and dada analysis.

It is responsible for CERN's water data's quality control, storage and analysis, standardization of water observation methods, study on water cycle and balance of ecosystem.

The Synthesis Research Center has 2 full professors, 3 associate professors, and 2 assistant professors.

Professor Sun Xiaomin is the director of the Sub-Center for Water ; Assistant professor Yuan Guofu is the assistant director.
